May Cache of the Month

This month had six great nominations for favorite event in Nebraska. Thank you to everyone that nominated them. Here are the nominates and the reasons they were nominated.

#1 - Geocoinfest 2015: Omaha, NE - The Sky's The Limit! (GC58MDJ):
- The FIRST MEGA event in Nebraska. It was such an awesome experience, and an iconic location. The committee that brought it to fruition did an excellent job of organizing the whole event, from check-in to the final goodbye. Not to mention the event coins designed by Chris Mackey raised the bar to new heights (Yes, the pun was definitely intended). Overall, the atmosphere was amazing.

- This was my first Mega and my first GeoCoinFest. It was absolutely amazing! I have been to a few MEGA's since this one and this is still my all-time favorite!

- Because it was freaking awesome. :D

#2 - Breakfast on Salt Creek MMXVII.VI (GC6X1BN): Breakfast on Salt Creek has been a continuous event (1st Saturday of the month) at CheriO's in Ashland NE since mid 2008 hosted originally by Twinstars for many years and now by TeamDAAK. It is in a convenient location midway between Omaha & Lincoln. This event is usually well attended and caching conversations are always fantastic along with CheriO's great and reasonable breakfast selections. I have always looked forward to this event each month although work has gotten in the way recently.

#3 - 2nd Soup Cook Off and Game Day (GC6YYGZ): I always have so much fun at this annual event!

#4 - To Wong Foo Flash Mob Snydersville WWFM XIII (GC6FXK0): I mean, come on... Guys in drag? What could be better than that?

#5 - 1st Annual GoNE Spring Picnic (GC701PR): The three games/activities that were held made this more active than most events I have attended. Everyone I had talked with, had a blast of fun with the games, and enjoyed the food items that offered and that they just had to bring a side item to share. I look forward to seeing this annual event travel throughout the state of Nebraska.

#6 - 13th Annual Nebraskache Kearney Picnic (GC6CNQD): It's a fun time to see other cachers from across the state and hopefully get to meet new people and share experiences. Kearney has many caches for those attending with more being added each year. It's also close to home which is nice.

And the winner is.........................
